About ShieldView AI

We're on a mission to protect those who protect others, advancing criminal justice through ethical AI technology designed specifically for law enforcement.

Our Mission

Built for the case. Designed for the human.

At ShieldView, we're building more than software — we're building protection for the people who protect us.

Our mission is to make digital investigations faster, safer, and more humane. We combine AI-powered triage and forensic review tools with integrated mental health support for investigators. ShieldView exists to help law enforcement and digital reviewers process graphic media efficiently without sacrificing their well-being.

We believe:

  • Investigator wellness is a form of public safety.
  • Trauma prevention should be built into the tools.
  • Technology should serve the human, not replace them.

What We Do

Secure, AI-powered case management for law enforcement and digital safety teams

ShieldView is a secure, AI-powered case management platform for law enforcement, prosecutors, forensic analysts, and digital safety teams. Our features include:

AI media triage and scene summarization

Auto-blur of sensitive content with click-to-reveal controls

Exposure tracking and wellness tools built directly into the interface

Secure logging, legal compliance, and chain-of-custody tracking

Air-gapped and compliant deployment options for sensitive cases

We're proudly building technology that helps agencies move faster while protecting their people.

Why We Exist

Addressing a critical gap in digital evidence review

Before ShieldView, investigators often had to manually review disturbing digital content with little protection, no support, and no warning. That leads to burnout, trauma, and even PTSD.

We knew there had to be a better way.

So we built it.

Meet Our Founder

Leadership grounded in purpose and real-world impact

Mike Hawker, Founder & CEO

Mike Hawker

Founder

Mike Hawker is a builder, operator, and leader with deep experience in both sales and operational strategy. Diagnosed with OCD and ADHD, Mike has spent years transforming personal mental health challenges into professional strengths — learning how to lead with clarity, empathy, and structure.

After years of working in high-growth tech and operations, Mike saw a gap in how digital evidence review was handled — and a critical need for tools that protect the people doing the hardest work. ShieldView was born out of that vision: to create smarter technology for frontline defenders of justice, while building a company grounded in values and real-world impact.

Mike believes in pushing boundaries both in business and life. He's completed races ranging from 5Ks to grueling 240-mile ultramarathons, bringing the same determination and endurance mindset to building ShieldView that he applies to covering hundreds of miles on foot.

When he's not building the future of law enforcement technology, you'll find Mike exploring Utah's incredible outdoors — whether he's chasing a birdie on the golf course, hiking mountain trails, or teaching his daughters how to fish. As a proud girl dad, he's learned that some of life's best lessons come from balancing spreadsheets and tea parties.

Mike lives in Utah with his family and leads ShieldView with a focus on purpose, grit, and good people doing meaningful work — all while maintaining his reputation as the guy who somehow makes quarterly reviews and weekend camping trips equally exciting.
